Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the extraordinary courage displayed on September 11, 2001.

We honor the civilians who perished, the police officers, firefighter, EMS personnel, and 911 telecommunicators who answered the call without hesitation, and the countless first responders who continue to bear the physical and emotional scars of that day.

For those of us in public safety communications, September 11 serves as a powerful reminder that behind every call is a person in need, and behind every headset is a dedicated professional committed to serving others during their most difficult moments.

As we reflect on this day, we reaffirm our commitment to serving the citizens and visitors of Mifflin County with professionalism, compassion, and dedication - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

May we never forget the sacrifices made, the heroes who answered the call, and the resilience that united our nation.

We Remember, We Honor, We Will Never Forget
