Kishacoquillas Valley Historical Society is having a party tomorrow (10/24.)
Want to talk Revolutionary War? This is the place to be!

Tomorrow, Saturday, October 24th, the museum will be open from 9 to 1. Learn more about the quilts of the Kishacoquillas Valley, see our many displays, and pick up an informational brochure that details the lives of local Revolutionary War soldiers. Docents will be available at the old Presbyterian cemetery located just miles from Allensville. Directions to the cemetery will be provided. Hope to see you tomorrow!

The Christmas Parade in Lewistown needs a snazzy ride for Santa. Do you have a vintage truck or convertible car to chauffeur the Big Man in on Dec. 2?

Another event to celebrate America's 250th birthday is happening THIS SATURDAY. Take a beautiful fall drive out through Big Valley to the Kishacoquillas Valley Historical Society in Allensville.

This Saturday (October 24th) will be a special day at the KVHS Museum! We will be open extended hours from 9am to 1pm. In addition to our standard exhibits, we will have an extensive display of quilts from the Valley with descriptions. We have also prepared an informational brochure which details the lives of Revolutionary War soldiers from the Kishacoquillas Valley including information about their burial locations. We will have docents available at the old Presbyterian cemetery, the final resting place for several of our Revolutionary War veterans and located just miles from Allensville. Directions to the cemetery will be provided to those who visit the museum.

Yup. The party continues with the Kishacoquillas Valley Historical Society event on Oct. 24 and the Festival of Ice - Juniata River Valley on Dec. 3 & 4. This year's theme is American Adventure.

I spy our bell!

Susan Williams from Clearfield County has enjoyed traveling across our beautiful Commonwealth with the goal of seeing every Bells Across PA installation. 🔔✨🎨

Hear from her as she shares her experience and hopes to inspire others to do the same! ⬇️

"My Semiquincentennial Bell travels began as I travelled to neighboring counties to see how they had displayed their bells as part of my county’s Semiquincentennial Bell Committee. I was quickly hooked on the idea of seeing all the state’s bells, but also spending this Semiquincentennial year traveling the state that I love.

The best part of my travels has been the friends who have accompanied me and the friends I have made along the way. I also have friends on social media who have enjoyed seeing the bells as I post each bell visit with the theme, location and historical information from the area.
I have visited 66 counties and 112 Bells; I hope to complete all the counties and bells before the end of the year as they continue to be unveiled.

Pennsylvania is a beautiful state, and it has been a joy to travel to each county. Of course, I invite everyone to visit my home county’s Semiquincentennial bell, located at the Clearfield County Historical Society, which is where my bell journey began!"
