🏎️💨 Ready, Set, RACE!

Learning is in motion in Mrs. Campos’ class! 🚗🔬 Students put their creativity, engineering skills, and problem-solving abilities to the test by building mousetrap-powered cars!

Through this hands-on STEM challenge, students explored how energy, force, and motion work together while designing and testing their cars. What a fun way to bring science to life!

👏 Way to go, Farmers!

🇺🇸💌 10,000 Cards. Countless Smiles. One Big Thank You! ❤️

Our Killough Farmers are joining forces with LHS and LHS Harmon to participate in the 10,000 Cards for Troops project!

Students will create heartfelt holiday cards for deployed service members, sharing messages of gratitude, encouragement, and holiday cheer with those serving far from home. 🎄✉️

We're proud to be part of this meaningful project that reminds our students how a small act of kindness can make a BIG difference!

❤️ Farmer Pride. Grateful Hearts. Giving Back.

🏘️ What happens when a small town grows into a bustling city? Our World History students found out! 🏭

Through the Urban Game, students explored the Industrial Revolution and discovered how industrialization transformed cities, communities, and everyday life. As their towns grew and changed, students experienced the challenges and opportunities that came with this important period in history!

History comes alive when students get to be part of the story! 🚂

🏆❤️ STUDENT CHOICE: SEPTEMBER TEACHER OF THE MONTH! 🤍🏆

A HUGE congratulations to Mrs. Werts, our September Teacher of the Month, as voted on by our very own students! 🎉

As an AVID teacher, Mrs. Werts goes above and beyond to build meaningful relationships, support her students, and make school a place where they feel valued.

But don't just take our word for it! Here's what some of her students had to say:

💬 "For always helping out kids."

💬 "They are also pretty fun, they make school a bit more lively."

💬 "Because she is a hard working teacher who has to handle multiple classes."

💬 "They've been really helpful to students and me!"

Mrs. Werts, your students see the difference you make every day, and so do we! Thank you for bringing heart, dedication, and FUN to LHS-Killough!

👏 Congratulations, Mrs. Werts! Well deserved!

🌎📜 Who says you need a time machine to travel through history? Our Farmers did it right in the classroom! 🚀

Our World History students brought history to life today with a high-energy Gallery Walk exploring the Latin American, Haitian, Mexican, and Brazilian Revolutions!

Students were up, moving, collaborating, and discovering how these revolutionary movements helped shape the world we know today.

History isn't just something we read about—it's something we explore, question, and connect to our world! ❤️🤍

🌎📜 History Comes to Life!

Instead of simply reading about history, our World History students stepped into it! Through an interactive gallery walk, students worked in pairs and small groups to analyze primary source visuals and historical texts exploring revolutions from the 1700s through the 1900s.

By connecting these sources to their textbooks, students strengthened their critical thinking, collaboration, and historical analysis skills!

Learning is more meaningful when students actively explore the past! 👏

Draped. Styled. Displayed.
Our Fashion Design 2 students just leveled up! This week, they learned the art of French Draping — sculpting fabric into stunning silhouettes right on the dress form.
To top it off, they tackled Visual Merchandising and Window Display to learn the art of retail storytelling.
