Yesterday, we were honored to host the historic marker unveiling for American Revolution in Forsyth at Station 13, in partnership with the Forsyth County Historic Resources Commission.

This marker recognizes the people, places, and events that shaped our local history during the American Revolution — right here in Forsyth County.

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us, shared remarks, and helped bring this important piece of our community’s story to life.

History lives in the places we call home, and we’re glad we could be part of preserving it for generations to come. ❤️🤍💙

We’re welcoming the rain from Storm Isaias, but it won’t erase the effects of the drought we’ve experienced this year.

As we head into fall, we encourage everyone to take a few extra precautions:

🔥 Hold off on burning leaves and yard debris. Dry conditions can make fires difficult to control, and wind can carry embers into nearby woods, fields, and homes.

🪵 Be careful with outdoor fires. Never leave a fire unattended, and make sure it is completely extinguished before walking away.

🚬 Dispose of smoking materials properly. Never toss ci******es or hot ashes into dry grass, leaves, or wooded areas.

🏡 Keep your property clear. Remove accumulated leaves and other dry debris from around your home, decks, and sheds.

💧 Remember: A wet surface doesn’t always mean a fire is out. Fires can continue smoldering beneath leaves, soil, and debris before flaring up again.

A few rainy days can help, but it takes sustained, steady rainfall to improve dry ground conditions. Please stay vigilant and check current local burn restrictions before burning anything.

Help us keep Lewisville safe this fall. A little prevention can go a long way! ❤️🚒

🚒❤️ A little fire safety knowledge goes a long way!

As Fire Prevention Week comes to a close, we’re feeling especially grateful for the opportunity to connect with so many children throughout our community and share important lessons about fire safety.

From curious questions to big smiles, these moments remind us why community education matters. Helping kids learn how to stay safe today can make a difference for years to come!

This year’s Fire Prevention Week theme, “Charge into Fire Safety: Safe Charging Is a Superpower,” reminds us that even everyday habits can help prevent fires. ⚡🔋

Thank you to the schools, families, and community members who welcomed us. We loved spending time with you!

Our hearts are heavy for our brothers and sisters at the Durham Fire Department.

We mourn the loss of a firefighter who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving others. We’re also keeping the two injured firefighters, their families, and the entire Durham community in our thoughts.

From Lewisville to — we stand with you. ❤️‍🩹🚒

Just hangin’ around… learning how to save the day. 🧗‍♂️🚒

A few of our firefighters recently traded solid ground for ropes, knots and a whole lot of trust during the Rope Rescue School.

The training brought together firefighters and rescue personnel from across North Carolina to sharpen rope rescue skills, learn new techniques and get hands-on experience with different equipment and rescue systems.

And while some of these pictures may look like an unusually complicated way to spend a day outside, there’s an important reason behind the training.

Opportunities like this help us learn from one another, build stronger working relationships and practice the skills we may one day need together when conditions are anything but easy.

We’re proud of our firefighters for continuing to learn, train and prepare so they’re ready when our community or one of our neighbors needs them. 🚒

Last week, we had the opportunity to participate in the annual World of Work event Benton Convention Center in downtown Winston-Salem!

We had the opportunity to not only share what we do, but also showcase our work with Junior Firefighters as well.

Events like this give students a chance to explore different career paths, ask questions and connect with people who are doing the work right here in their community.

We’re proud to be part of the conversation and even prouder to introduce the next generation to the many opportunities in the fire service. 🚒🔥

A big thank-you to Greater Winston-Salem, Inc. for bringing local students and employers together for another great World of Work!

🚒 Curious about what happens at the fire station? Come on in!

Last weekend, a local family stopped by the fire house with a simple request: could their kids get a few pictures with the fire trucks? Of course! ❤️

Jr Firefighter Captain Highsmith was happy to show them around, give them a little tour of the trucks, answer questions and spend some time getting to know the family.

These are the moments we love! Connecting with the people we serve, introducing the next generation to their local fire department and reminding our community that we’re here for you.

So, if you’re curious about the trucks, want to meet your firefighters, or just happen to be passing by…

Stop in and say hello. Our doors are always open. 👋

We love our community, and we’re always happy to share a little time with you!
