🎃🍂 Pumpkin Day Fun in Kindergarten! 🍂🎃

Yesterday, our DCA kindergarten students enjoyed an afternoon full of fall fun and hands-on learning!

From picking pumpkins and planting seeds, to exciting science experiments, pumpkin tasting, crafts, relay races, and storytime with Spookley the Square Pumpkin, our students had so much fun learning through play!

At Davidson Charter Academy, we love creating engaging, hands-on experiences that spark curiosity, encourage creativity, and make learning exciting for our students. These are the special moments that make our school community such a wonderful place to learn and grow!

A huge thank you to our amazing kindergarten teachers for planning such a fun and memorable day, and to the wonderful parents who volunteered their time to help make it all possible! We are so grateful for our supportive DCA families who help make experiences like these so special for our students!

Our Elementary Students had a special, surprise visitor this morning! Hungry Harry stopped by with a few of his friends from our 8th Grade Student Council!

And guess what?! Hungry Harry is HUNGRY! 🍭🍫 As Book-O-Ween gets closer, his appetite is getting BIGGER, and he needs YOUR help!

We are asking our DCA families to help feed Hungry Harry by sending in candy donations for our upcoming Book-O-Ween Trunk-or-Treat on Friday, October 30th! 🎃📚

Every bag of candy helps us make this a fun and memorable experience for our Elementary students!

Let's fill Hungry Harry and make this the sweetest Book-O-Ween yet!

Our Kindergarteners Are TOO COOL for Sight Words! 🎶😎

Dr. Alexander received a special invitation to Ms. Norris’s kindergarten classroom, and our little superstars had quite the performance prepared!

Sporting their coolest sunglasses, our kindergarteners proudly showed off just how many sight words they’ve learned!

We love seeing our youngest learners build confidence, celebrate their accomplishments, and have FUN while learning! A big shoutout to Ms. Norris for making learning such an exciting and memorable experience for her students!

Of course, a celebration this special wouldn’t be complete without celebrating the amazing teachers and staff who help make it all possible!

Today, we had the opportunity to treat our DCA team to a delicious catered lunch in recognition of the hard work, dedication, and love they pour into our students and school each and every day. The growth and achievement we celebrated today are a reflection of countless hours of teaching, encouraging, supporting, and believing in our Chargers, and we are incredibly grateful for the people behind that work!

A HUGE thank you to for generously providing today’s meal! The food was absolutely delicious, and their generosity was such a wonderful way to help us show our teachers and staff just how much they are appreciated.

🎉 SURPRISE! Today was all about CELEBRATING our Chargers! 🎉

Our entire DCA family came together today for a special surprise celebration honoring the incredible hard work, growth, and achievement of our students and staff! 💙⚡

We are incredibly proud to celebrate that our School Performance Grade increased by a FULL LETTER GRADE from last year! Even more exciting, our students demonstrated growth across all tested areas and student subgroups, earning an impressive academic growth score of 82! These achievements are a reflection of the hard work of our students, the dedication of our teachers and staff, and the continued support of our DCA families. We couldn’t be prouder of what our school community has accomplished together!

And what better way to celebrate than with bounce houses, sweet treats, lots of laughter, and a whole lot of Charger fun?! 🎉

A very special THANK YOU to our DCA PTO for sponsoring today’s celebration and helping us make this special day possible for our students and staff! We are so grateful for their continued support of our school and for helping us create memorable moments like these for our DCA community. 💙

To our students: We are SO proud of you! Your hard work matters, and today was all about YOU!

To our teachers and staff: Thank you. Your dedication, encouragement, and commitment to our students every single day are what make moments like this possible.

And to our DCA families: thank you for partnering with us, supporting our students, and being such an important part of our school community.

Today was a celebration of how far we’ve come, and we couldn’t be more excited about where we’re headed!
