The W&L University Library turns 250! They mark their birthday on March 14, 1776, when William Graham purchased 300 books to support the newly rebranded Liberty Hall Academy (now W&L). Happy Birthday from one library to another!

We love getting birthday love! Thanks, VIVA!

Our mailbox has been getting the birthday treatment. 🎉📬

As we celebrate the library’s 250th anniversary, we’ve been feeling the love from fellow libraries across the country! A big thank you to the wonderful teams at Lake Forest College, Kalamazoo College, Bennington College, and Williams College for sending us such thoughtful birthday cards.

It means a lot to be part of a community of libraries that celebrate milestones together. Here’s to many more years of learning, sharing, and library friendship! 📚
