The latest drought monitor shows most of Henderson County is experiencing EXTREME DROUGHT CONDITIONS!

🔥 Please refrain from all outdoor burning! With conditions this dry, fires can spread rapidly and become dangerous before you realize it.

🔥 THOSE BONFIRES FROM LAST NIGHT COULD COME BACK TO LIFE! 🔥

If you had a bonfire last night, take a few minutes today to check on it! With windy conditions and low humidity this afternoon, those leftover embers could reignite and quickly turn into an uncontrolled fire.

✅ Make sure your fire is completely out.
✅ Check for hidden hot spots and smoldering embers.
✅ Never leave a fire unattended.

A fire that looks out may still be burning beneath the surface. Don’t let last night’s bonfire become today’s wildfire!

Help us protect our community! Stay alert and stay safe.
