▶️ The boot—non-insulated or insulated based on your climate
▶️ Tactical socks—Merino wool blends (not cotton—cotton absorbs moisture)
▶️ Break-in protocol — gradual training wear, not field testing
▶️ Waterproofing — external moisture out, v***r out
▶️ Foot care discipline — regular inspection, sock changes, hygiene

One weak component breaks the whole thing. Premium boots can't compensate for cheap socks. Insulation doesn't fix moisture problems.

It's all preventable through operational discipline:
▶️ Carry spare socks (waterproof bag)
▶️ Change them when feasible
▶️ Inspect feet regularly
▶️ Keep them clean
