Meet Suzanne Domel Baxter, PhD, RD, LD, FADA, FAND at our Local Author Expo. 📚

Suzi is a retired and disabled registered dietitian. She serves on Able SC’s Board of Directors and volunteers for Disability Rights SC. Suzi co-founded the Disabilities in Nutrition and Dietetics Member Interest Group within the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Her two books are Credentialed Dietetics Practitioners with Disabilities Get the Job Done and When I Grow Up, I Can Be a Dietitian! She lives in Lexington with her husband and two Siberian cats.

In honor of National Friends of Libraries Week (October 18–24), we want to give a shoutout to the people behind the scenes who fundraise, support and promote our ten branches.

Our Friends bake goods for events, run book sales, help at our kickoffs, attend meetings and volunteer their time to ensure the library can continue to provide lifelong learning opportunities to the community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Local Children’s Author Expo! 📚💛 We loved bringing our community together to celebrate local authors, discover new stories and share a love of reading.

A special thank-you to the eight talented authors — Marina Bartolec, Heather Harris Bergevin, Ashley Blas, Stacey Burk, Lisa Corduan, Chantal Jennings, Jacqueline McNiel and Rebekah Smith — who joined us and shared their books with our community. We’re so grateful to everyone who helped make this event a success.
