🎄🎁 **MAKING CHRISTMAS A LITTLE BRIGHTER!** 🚔🎅

There's something special about seeing our community come together during the holiday season! ❤️

The Lexington Police Department is excited to join our fellow law enforcement agencies for this year's **Shop With a Cop** event!

This wonderful program brings local law enforcement officers and children together for a memorable holiday shopping experience filled with smiles, laughter, and a little Christmas magic! 🎁

For us, it's about more than presents under the tree. It's about building relationships, creating lasting memories, and showing the children in our communities that we're here for them both in and out of uniform.

We're proud to stand alongside our neighboring agencies to help make the holiday season a little brighter for local families.

Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the event!

From our law enforcement family to yours, let's make this Christmas one to remember! 🎄💙

🐾 **HELP US FIND THIS MISSING CAT!** 🐾

We’re asking our community to keep an eye out for this missing kitty!

She was last seen Friday evening, September 4, near Miller Street and is described as being skittish, so please don’t chase her if you see her.

👀 Check around porches, sheds, garages, bushes, and other places where a scared cat might be hiding.

If you see her or have any information that may help get her home, please use the contact information provided on the flyer.

Please share this post and help spread the word. Hopefully we can get this kitty back home where they belong! 🐱❤️

🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨

We’ve had reports of a fake traffic court notice being sent out that looks like it’s from Virginia courts.
It claims you owe money for things like:

Failure to pay fines

Parking violations

Speeding

The notice says your case is “delinquent” and pushes you to pay immediately sometimes with a QR code.
This is NOT legitimate.
Courts do not send out notices demanding payment this way, and they will not ask you to pay fines through a QR code.
If you get something like this:

Don’t scan the code

Don’t send money

Don’t click any links

Instead, contact your local court or give us a call and we’ll help you verify it.

📞 [540-463-9177]

If you’ve already sent money or personal info, please reach out to us as soon as possible.
Stay safe and keep an eye out for each other.
