On National First Responders Day we take the opportunity to thank each of our members who have served and continue to serve our Department and more importantly, our community! Each day these men and women answer the call for someone in need from Fires to Medical calls. We proudly answer up and respond. Please take the time if you see these members out and about to thank them for their service.

🌽🚜 Wishing all of our area farmers a safe and successful harvest season!

From all of us at the Lexington Fire Department, please take your time, stay alert, and stay safe during the long days and nights ahead.

We also want to give a special thank you to the farmers who serve double duty as volunteer firefighters with our department. You work the fields, serve your neighbors, and answer the call when our community needs you. 🚒

We’re your neighbors. We have jobs, families, and responsibilities just like you — and we still make time to serve. Why not you?

Interested in joining the Lexington Fire Department? Reach out to us, stop by the station, or visit lexingtonfd.com to learn more.

Have a safe harvest! 🌾

The funds raised help supply the AED Defibrillator Pads as well as other essential items to assure these devices are kept in service should the time come that one throughout the community needs used. When extinguishing a vehicle fire, we typically close the interstate because of visibility and for our safety and yours. We reopen it as quickly as we safely can. This video was taken by friends of our department just a short while after we began applying water.
