Our Lexington office was out connecting with the community! 💙

Keirra had a great time representing the CAL/IP at KCRC! She had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people, make new connections, and network with other organizations.

We're always grateful for opportunities to share our mission, build relationships, and connect with our community.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat! 💚

Okay, we've kept you waiting long enough... 👀

First things first, we have a WINNER!

Congratulations to Deborah Ann Saffer for winning our CAL giveaway! Thank you to everyone who participated, shared our posts, and helped spread the word!!

Now, about that little something we've been teasing...
Meet The CAL Collective!

You know how everyone talks about wanting more community, more meaningful connections, and more spaces where people can just be themselves?

Yeah, we want that too. So we're creating it.

The CAL Collective is our newest adventure at the Center for Accessible Living, and we're building something that goes beyond programs, services, and the usual nonprofit stuff. We're talking real conversations, good books, powerful stories, fresh perspectives, and bringing people together who might not otherwise cross paths.

Here's a little sneak peek at what's coming:

🎙️ A Podcast – Real people, real conversations, and topics worth talking about. No boring lectures here.

📚 A Book Club – Because sometimes a good book is even better when you have people to talk about it with.

Stories Worth Sharing – We want to hear YOUR stories. The funny ones, the hard ones, the inspiring ones, and everything in between. Everyone has a story worth telling.

Our Very Own Magazine – Twice a year, we'll bring you a collection of stories, ideas, community highlights, and content that actually makes you want to keep reading.

And More! – We're dreaming big when it comes to creating opportunities for people to connect, collaborate, and build community.

And here's the best part...

You don't have to live in Kentucky to join us. You don't even have to know what CAL is (although we'd love to change that!).

You just have to be you.

Because somewhere along the way, life got busy, the world got a little disconnected, and finding genuine community became harder than it should be.

We want to change that.

We want to create a space where people can show up, share their experiences, discover new perspectives, make connections, and feel like they're part of something.

And we're not interested in building this community FOR you. We want to build it WITH you.

So whether you're here for the books, the podcast, the stories, or just looking for your people, there's a place for you in The CAL Collective.

Consider this your official invitation!!

Follow along, tell your friends, and get ready. We're just getting started.

The CAL Collective. Different voices. Shared stories. Better together. 💚💙

Help CAL receive a $3,000 Gratitude Grant! 💙

The Jason Mraz Foundation is celebrating nonprofits making a difference through its Gratitude Grants program, awarding $3,000 grants to 15 organizations across the country!

We would love your support in nominating the Center for Accessible Living! Your nomination could help us continue our mission of empowering people with disabilities to live independently, advocate for their rights, and access the resources they need.

It only takes a few minutes to show your appreciation and help CAL be considered for this opportunity!

Something NEW is brewing at CAL... and we think it’s going to be one for the books! 👀

We can’t spill the beans just yet, but trust us, you’ll want to keep an eye on our page over the next few weeks.

Any guesses what we’re up to?
