Because my Republican opponent (Ralph Alvarado) has made it clear that he wouldn’t even try to regulate data centers in Congress if he’s elected here in KY-6, I assumed that the Democrat (Zach Dembo) was “less bad” on data center policy than Alvarado.

Dembo has at least started to pretend to care about regulating data center development in Congress. He’s even made some incredibly weak and spineless proposals for regulating data centers at the federal level.

But over the course of the last month or so, I’ve come to learn that the Dembo campaign is secretly hurting the public’s fight against data centers in central Kentucky.

Why he’s chosen this path isn’t 100% clear to me. But my best guess is that his narcissistic desperation to win this seat has outweighed any concern he may have for the people he wants to represent.

Perhaps the most cynical and disgusting thing about the Dembo campaign’s behavior on the issue of data centers is that while he’s been undermining the anti-data center movement in central Kentucky, he’s sending out mailers that say “FIGHTING BACK AGAINST DATA CENTERS”.

It’s truly repulsive behavior. The way he's undermined the fight against data centers is so disgusting, in fact, that multiple sources from within the Kentucky Democratic Party have provided me with information about what he’s doing.

While I already know the general contours of what Dembo’s team has been up to behind the scenes, any other Democrats with knowledge of what I’m talking about are welcome to email or message me with any additional information.

In particular, while I know about messages his campaign sent to leaders of the Democratic Party in central Kentucky, I have not seen the messages for myself.

If anyone shares with me what the Dembo campaign sent out, I will share exactly what Dembo said without exposing the source. My goal isn’t to burn Democrats who are serious about fighting back against AI data centers. In fact, I’m happy to work with anyone from any party who opposes AI data center development.

Whether additional sources reach out to me or not, I will provide more information about how the Dembo campaign is hurting the fight against data centers later this week.

A couple of days ago, we learned that FOX 56 News organized a debate between my Republican and Democratic opponents without even asking if I would be interested in participating in the debate.

Fox 56 has decided to actively protect the establishment candidates who have no interest in pausing AI data center development in Kentucky or around the country.

I emailed Fox 56 to ask them:

1) whether they chose this undemocratic behavior on their own, or whether they were pressured by Dembo and Alvarado to exclude me from the debate and

2) to stop being undemocratic and allow all four candidates on the ballot to participate in the debate on October 22.

If you'd like to see a debate that includes someone actually speaking out against AI data center development, please consider emailing Fox 56 and posting your email on social media, like I'm doing here.

I don't think Fox 56 is very likely to change their minds, but I would like them to feel some heat for being so blatantly protective of establishment candidates who have no interest in representing central Kentuckians on the most important political issue in Kentucky.

Final reminder before we hit the road:

The candidate forum on data centers in Harrodsburg is today from 6-8pm at the Anderson Dean Community Park.

I hope to see many of you there!

The Mason County Fiscal Court wants the people of Mason County to believe they got some kind of great "deal" to let Meta (Facebook) build a massive data center.

That's just not true. At all.

The reality is that the Fiscal Court gave Meta a massive tax break by cutting all property taxes through the use of industrial revenue bonds (IRBs). Of course, if the Fiscal Court hadn't been willing to cut a sweetheart deal with Meta, Meta wouldn't even have pursued their plans in Maysville in the first place.

Here's what really went down:

The County Judge-Executive, Owen McNeill, signed at least one NDA with Meta (he acknowledged he was under at least 12 NDAs, but didn't specify how many were with Meta). Two of the three District Commissioners also acknowledged signing NDAs.

Overall, that's three out of four members of the Mason County Fiscal Court who signed NDAs with Meta to secretly negotiate a "deal" that amounts to massive tax breaks for Meta.

If the agreement had gone through without the IRB and with property taxes at the full rate, the project would eventually provide something like $95 million per year (split between the local and state government) in property tax revenue.

Instead, this "deal" cuts those property taxes entirely and calls for Meta to give the county $5 million per year and the school district $2 million per year at first through payment in lieu of taxes (PILOT), with those numbers never exceeding $30 million and $12 million, respectively.

At full rollout, here's what the agreement would mean for Meta:

$95 million (property tax break) - $42 million (PILOT) = $53 million, each year

In plain English: at full rollout, Meta would receive $95 million per year in property tax breaks through IRBs, but will have to give about $42 million of that money back to Mason County with payments in lieu of taxes. That's still a good deal for Meta, though--they get to keep over half of their tax cuts.

No wonder Meta demanded NDAs. This deal never would have survived transparency and public scrutiny.

So the Mason County Fiscal Court treated its constituents like mushrooms: it kept them in the dark and fed them s**t.

Public officials should not be able to sign NDAs. Period.

You can quote me on that: "hot garbage."

After our candidate forum on AI data centers and Flock cameras in Georgetown on 10/4, I made fun of my opponents Ralph Alvarado (R) and Zach Dembo (D) for not showing up and then giving spineless responses about their views on data centers when asked for comment by WKYT.

Who thinks they'll show up to today's candidate forum on data centers in Harrodsburg?

I certainly won't hold my breath.

But if they're too afraid to discuss data center policy with me individually, I'd be happy to debate them both at the same time. They're on the same side of the data center issue, anyways.

Well, it looks like AI Alvarado and Data Center Dembo have finally agreed to debate each other on FOX 56 News. At no point was I approached about whether I'd be interested in participating in the debate, even though I'm on the ballot (as FOX 56 well knows).

AI data center development is the most important political issue in central Kentucky right now.

Everybody who isn't blindly partisan knows that both Alvarado and Dembo are fundamentally absent on the issue of AI data center development. To the extent that they have started talking about AI data centers at all, it's because they have been pressured by the people of Kentucky and our campaign. They obviously have no personal interest in doing anything about this incredibly crucial issue.

The local media also must know that our campaign with the Kentucky Party is polling far, far better than third-party campaigns almost ever do.

And yet, we were never even asked about whether we'd be interested in participating in a debate.

It makes you wonder: did Fox56 choose this absurdly undemocratic behavior on their own, or did Alvarado and Dembo tell them that they'd only participate in a debate if the debate excluded us?

Our exclusion from the debate on October 22 is incredibly undemocratic. The people deserve to hear from all four candidates on the ballot--not just the Republican and the Democrat.

Andy Beshear was asked about data centers in Kentucky and quickly pivoted to talking about Trump’s tariffs.

When he finally got back on the topic of data centers, he referred to his feckless executive order as evidence of how he’s helping Kentuckians.

That executive order isn’t anywhere near enough.

Andy Beshear needs to use his power as governor to call for a special legislative session on data centers.

Then, he needs to pressure the General Assembly to:
- Repeal HB 775
- Pass a moratorium on AI data center development
- Create a ballot initiative process so that communities can vote on whether they want AI data centers.

If he can’t do these basic things to represent Kentuckians, he has no business running for President.

10/14/2026

I polled the people in Lexington about their views on AI data centers and Flock cameras on October 8. About an hour later, the moratorium was extended by a year. It’s not quite what I’d hoped for, but we’re moving in the right direction.
