As the quote on the back wall reads "Headed for Greatness"!
Today's update: More floor scraping and leveling of the floor in the old part of the library by the checkout desks. A few more days of scraping and dust.

But good news, tile is expected to start being laid on Tuesday and the Library will (fingers crossed!) be once again livable.

It also says "Please don't touch spooky heads" and that's probably some good advice this time of year.

The guys from Scantlin's Furniture are moving quick on the floor. Almost all the old orange tile is gone. Now the fun part of scraping the floors.
So much dust! Even with all the openings around the remodel blocked off, the smell of the dust is there.
We will keep you posted when we re-open! Yes. There will be cookies and punch when this is all done.

Library closed!
The Library will close today at 3pm due to construction. We had to make that choice after realizing the amount of dust being generated and the concern of it spreading throughout the library.
Our contractor has been working nights, but can only get so much done. We are hoping that closing will give them the uninterrupted time they need to make a lot of progress.
We expect to be closed the rest of the week.
We will keep you posted as progress is made.

Day 3 Update! We have tile removed to about the 1/4 way point! It's a bit dusty, but we cleaned up most of that this morning. New tile is one day closer!
