Proud to partner with Casey County Schools!

Being prepared for a cardiac emergency means being ready to act when every second matters. We’re grateful for the opportunity to work alongside our schools to help strengthen their Cardiac Emergency Plans and prepare staff to respond when it matters most.

A huge thank you to Casey County Schools for prioritizing the safety of our students, staff, and community. It truly takes all of us working together to build a safer community.

We’re proud to serve Casey County and even prouder to be part of a community that looks out for one another. β€οΈπŸš‘

❀️ DID YOU KNOW?

Casey County Schools has a Cardiac Emergency Plan in place for every school in our district?

These plans help ensure our schools are prepared to respond quickly and effectively in the event of a cardiac emergency involving a student, staff member, or visitor.

A special THANK YOU to Casey County EMS and Jessica Campbell for their incredible partnership and expertise in helping us develop and strengthen our plans. Jessica’s guidance, along with the dedication of the entire EMS team, has helped make sure our staff and schools are prepared when every second matters.

We are extremely grateful for our local first responders and their continued commitment to the safety of our students, staff, and community.

Casey County EMS extends our deepest thoughts and prayers to the Phillips family, the Kentucky State Police family, and the Russell County EMS and Russell County Fire Department families as they mourn the loss of Trooper Hayden Phillips.

Hayden began his first responder career in EMS and fire, and his commitment to serving others continued throughout his life.

Our hearts are with all who knew, loved, and served alongside him. We stand with our brothers and sisters in the first responder community during this difficult time.

Rest easy, Trooper Hayden. Thank you for your service. You will not be forgotten. πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ’™

πŸŽ‰ AUGUST BIRTHDAY SHOUTOUTS! πŸŽ‚πŸš‘

Help us wish two of our Casey County EMS family members a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY! πŸ₯³

Helee Roundy – Part-Time EMT
Helee is the kind of person you can always count on. He’s always the first one to the truck, ready to roll when the tones drop. He also serves with Rescue and Evona Fire Department, showing just how much he cares about serving his community. Helee is easygoing, dependable, and always ready to help when needed. We’re thankful to have him on our team!

Loren Martin – EMR
Loren is always willing to show up and help us on runs as a volunteer, and we’re incredibly grateful for his dedication to our service and our community. He also serves with the fire department, continuing his commitment to helping others.
First responder service runs deep in the Martin family, with multiple family members serving our community in various first responder capacities. His sister and daughter are also part of our Casey County EMS family, making this a family that truly understands what it means to answer the call.
Beyond answering the call, Loren has a way of sending encouraging words to our staff when they need them most. That kind of support means more than he probably realizes. We’re thankful for all he does!

❀️ Happy Birthday, Helee & Loren!
We hope your birthdays were filled with happiness, surrounded by the people who mean the most to you. Thank you both for everything you do for Casey County EMS and our community! πŸš‘β€οΈ

πŸš‘πŸŽ‰ June Birthday Spotlight! Happy Birthday Josh! πŸŽ‰πŸš‘

Josh juggles a full-time job and still finds time to come hang out with us a few shifts each month. Whether he’s answering calls, helping his teammates, or just bringing another familiar face to the station, we are always glad to see him (as long as he leaves the snakes outside!).

We are grateful to have him as part of our Casey County EMS family! Please join us in welcoming our part-time EMT Joshua a Happy Birthday!!

πŸŽ‰ Happy Birthday to Our May Birthday Crew!

Please join us in wishing a very happy birthday to several members of our EMS family who celebrated birthdays in May!

🧁Astralla Nikol Gammon - Part-time Advanced EMT who recently welcomed a new baby to her family! Astralla’s outgoing personality and positive attitude make her a joy to work with.

🧁Austin Sullivan - Part-time EMT who is always wearing a smile. Austin continues to grow and we are all excited to see all he accomplishes.

🧁 Jacob Hardin - Paramedic and Captain with our service. Jacob’s easy-going nature and leadership make him a valued member of our team. Him and his wife are looking forward to welcoming their second son in September!

🧁 Martin Riggs - Advanced EMT, dedicated member of the fire department as well, and soon-to-be paramedic student. We look forward to watching him continue to advance his career in EMS.

🧁 Cory-Carrie Ehrsam - One of our newer EMTs to our team. We are glad to have him as part of our EMS family and hope he had a great birthday!

Thank you all for your dedication to serving our community. We appreciate everything you do and hope your birthdays were filled with happiness, laughter, and time spent with those who matter most.

Our hearts are with the members of Whitley County EMS during this difficult time as they mourn the loss of their Director, Amanda Jackson.

We extend our deepest condolences to Amanda’s family, friends, coworkers, and the entire agency. The impact of a leader in EMS reaches far beyond the walls of a station, touching countless lives through service, dedication, and compassion for others.

Please know you all are in our thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.

πŸš‘ Kicking Off EMS Week 2026 πŸš‘

Today we had the privilege of celebrating our EMS Family Day, and it was the perfect way to begin EMS Week. From smiling faces and laughter to great food and fellowship, today reminded us just how important family is to everything we do.

While EMS professionals are often the ones seen responding to emergencies, serving our community would not be possible without the families standing behind them every single day. The spouses, children, parents, and loved ones of EMS providers make countless sacrifices β€” missed dinners, interrupted holidays, sleepless nights, and time spent apart β€” all so our crews can answer the call when someone needs help most.

Today, we especially want to honor and thank those families. Your support, patience, understanding, and sacrifice are a vital part of EMS. You serve right alongside our providers, and we are deeply grateful for each and every one of you.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make today such a success. We are proud to call this team β€” and these families β€” our EMS family. β€οΈπŸš‘
