The Amite County Career & Technical Complex is a secondary career and technical center serving the students enrolled in the Amite County School District.

It has been a week full of learning and hands-on skill development at the Amite County CTE Center! 🔧🩺💼

Our Business, Marketing & Finance students, under the instruction of Mrs. Krystal Hollinshead, explored consumer math with first-year students and second-year students presented their projects on Applied Human Resource Management.

Our Health Science students, under the instruction of Mrs. Kaitlyn Wilson, gained hands-on experience with wound care using realistic simulated wounds.

Meanwhile, our Automotive students, under the instruction of Mr. Sheddrick Lewis, put their skills to work! First-year students learned how to replace a heater hose, while second-year students completed front brake pad replacements.

We are proud of our students and instructors for making learning meaningful through hands-on experiences that build real-world knowledge and career-ready skills! 👏

🔨 Building Skills for the Future at Amite County CTE Center! 🏠

Under the instruction of Elvis Turbeville, our Construction students, Lamonte Hall, Kameryn Simmons, and Earnest Flowers, have been learning the proper techniques and skills involved in framing a house. In the picture, students are demonstrating their knowledge of framing a corner and a T-intersection.

Additionally, Shemar Anderson put his construction skills to work by building a doghouse! 🐶 His project showcases his ability to apply construction techniques to create a practical, functional structure designed to provide shelter for a furry friend.

We are proud of our students as they gain hands-on experience and develop the skills needed for future careers in the construction industry!

🌿 Growing Fresh Flavors at Amite County CTE! 🌱

The Culinary Arts class at Amite County Career & Technical Center has been learning how to grow their own herbs and spices! Under the instruction of Miranda Whittington, students are gaining hands-on experience that connects growing fresh ingredients with culinary creativity. Erniya Flowers has been overseeing the project and can’t wait to put all of the homegrown herbs and spices to use in the kitchen. 👩‍🍳🌿

What a great way to bring learning to life, from the garden to the kitchen!

🎉 Homecoming Week at the Amite County Career & Technical Center! 👑

Homecoming Week was so much fun for our staff and students! We enjoyed a full week of exciting dress-up days, school spirit, and fun memories.

The week wrapped up with a special Royal Court Celebration, honoring our elected students who proudly represented each of our Career & Technical Education programs. 👑❤️

We are so proud of our students and grateful to our staff for making Homecoming Week such a memorable experience! Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the week so much fun!

Our 2nd Year Health Science students had an incredible opportunity this morning to take part in a simulated experience with the Rescue 9 Flight Crew. It was an awesome hands-on learning experience, and the crew did an outstanding job demonstrating their skills and sharing their expertise. We appreciate their time and dedication to inspiring our future healthcare professionals!
