It is finally OPEN! 🎉 Northwyck playground is ready for all to play. What a great way to kick off the weekend!

See the new play equipment below! It's the perfect place for kids (and let’s be real, parents too 🤪) to run, jump and play safely. It's so wonderful to see this space come to life for the whole community.

Help us send a big THANK YOU to our Parks Maintenance team who worked through every step to provide this awesome area for Liberty. 🙌

That’s a wrap on our 2026 Cemetery Workdays!

On Saturday, October 17, we hosted our final workday of the year. Our volunteers planted two new trees and picked up limbs and storm debris following the severe weather to get the grounds ready for winter.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday, including members of the Alexander Doniphan Society and a wonderful volunteer who was on a service mission with the LDS Church.

We take a break for the winter, but our 2027 season kicks off in March. Mark your calendars for next year's dates and locations:
--March 20 – Mt. Memorial
--April 17 – Fairview/New Hope
--May 15 – Fairview/New Hope
--June 19 – Fairview/New Hope
--July – No clean-up event
--August 21 – Fairview/New Hope

It’s official - Liberty is officially a certified Bird City! 🐦

We are thrilled to announce that our community has earned this recognition by actively improving bird habitats, reducing hazards and engaging residents in the conservation of Missouri’s native birds.

A massive congratulations to the hard working members of our Bird City Committee for this huge accomplishment! The committee has been dedicated to raising awareness about the unique threats our feathered friends face, while providing practical solutions that Liberty residents can take to promote bird-friendly, sustainable practices right in their own backyards.

Navigating Medicare can feel like a lot, but you don't have to figure it out alone! The Liberty Silver Center is hosting a Medicare Open Enrollment Event to help you find the perfect fit.

Open enrollment runs from October 15 to December 7. This is your chance to review, compare and switch up your Part D or Medicare Advantage plans for next year.

Aayron from Missouri SHIP (State Health Insurance Assistance Program) will be hanging out helping you compare plans, check your coverage and find ways to save some cash.

Join us on October 27 or November 12 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Liberty Community Center! We are booking one-hour appointment slots. Walk-ins are welcome too, but you might have a bit of a wait.

Don't forget to bring your current plan details and a list of your prescriptions so we can get right to work. To schedule an appointment, call 800.390.3330. Or, if you can't attend the event, visit missouriship.org/allevents/ for more information.

It's always fun to celebrate culture and community!

A BIG thank you to AmeriCorps RSVP Volunteer, Sharon Black, for leading an incredible card-making event in preparation for Day of the Dead (Día de los Mu***os)! ✨

Sharon shared the history and meaningful traditions behind the holiday while walking everyone through making beautiful cards. Around 30 volunteers and attendees joined in on the fun, enjoying meaningful conversation and asking great questions.

To top it all off, everyone got to enjoy traditional food and treats, including delicious tamales, churros and more! Thank you to Sharon and everyone who came out to make this presentation such a memorable event! ❤️
