🌟 Student Voices. Strong Leadership. Bright Futures!

Student Advisory teams from each of our high schools and Harnett County Early College met this morning with Superintendent Matthews and Assistant Superintendents Cox, Pearson and White, and Dr. Murphy.

These meetings provide students with a valuable opportunity to share their perspectives directly with district leadership. From athletics and extracurricular activities to academics and school needs, students discussed what’s happening in their schools, celebrated successes and identified opportunities for improvement.

We are grateful for these students and their willingness to serve as voices for their peers. Their dedication, confidence and poise are a powerful reminder that the next generation of leaders is already making a difference in Harnett County Schools!

🐝 BUZZING BRAINIACS 🐝

Our Digital Teaching and Learning team recently helped the Buzzing Brainiacs at Coats Elementary School with one of their meetings!

Buzzing Brainiacs is a club for students who’ve tested AIG at CES. It gives them a chance to get hands on learning opportunities after schools.

The DTL team brought bee bots. The kids made little costumes for their bee bots and then were tasked with coding the bots to do certain things.

Such a cool afternoon!!

We're so proud of Mrs. Altamirano!!!

💰 $19,000 FOR HARNETT COUNTY STUDENTS!

A big thank you to the Dunn Police Department, which recently presented Harnett County Schools with $19,000 in fines and forfeiture funds!

The contribution goes directly into the district’s public school fund, where it can be used to support educational opportunities and resources for students across Harnett County.

Superintendent W. Brooks Matthews and district leaders accepted the contribution on behalf of HCS.

We’re grateful for community partners who continue to invest in public education and the students we serve! ❤️📚

📚🍎 Happy National Instructional Coaches Day!

Today, we recognize the instructional coaches across Harnett County Schools who work alongside our educators to strengthen teaching and learning every day.

Whether they’re sharing resources, modeling strategies, analyzing data, brainstorming solutions or simply being a trusted sounding board, our instructional coaches help teachers grow, innovate and meet the needs of every learner.

Their work may often happen behind the scenes, but the impact reaches classrooms across our district.

Thank you to our instructional coaches for supporting our teachers, investing in our students and helping us continue Inspiring learners to become leaders!
