Our Club will be joining other Rotary Clubs in our District over the next few weeks and participating in the "Yellow Tulip Project". 💛 Our District recently lost our newly appointed District Governor - Serge Poulin, who was a strong advocate for Su***de Prevention (having lost his brother to su***de) & Mental Health Awareness.

Our Club has purchased 500 bulbs and next Saturday morning we'll be at Rotary Park planting 100 bulbs! 💛

We also have other areas throughout the community that we'd like to see bulbs planted. If you want to help, please join us on Saturday, September 26th - 9am. 💛🏡👩‍🌾

We also encourage YOU to purchase yellow tulip bulbs and plant some of your own - and next spring they'll be a symbol of hope, resilience, and the courage to speak openly about mental health! 💛

What an exciting event! I hope that some of our Paul Doiron fans can make it! 😍

At the end of the month, I'm headed to Fort Kent—literally the end of the road. It's the top of "America's First Mile," the northernmost stretch of Route 1 in the USA. I haven’t done an event in The County in too long, so I’m grateful to the University of Maine at Fort Kent for making my visit possible. On Thursday, Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. in Nadeau Hall, I'll read from STORM TIDE, talk about the writing life, and take questions. Free and open to the public, with books on hand to sign.
