Today marks 22 years since the devastating tornado struck Hallam. A storm that forever changed the community and remains one of the widest tornadoes ever recorded.

As we remember that day, we also recognize the strength shown in the aftermath. The resilience of the Hallam community, the dedication of first responders, and the countless volunteers and neighbors who came together to help one another recover and rebuild.

Even after 22 years, the spirit and perseverance shown by this community serves as a powerful reminder of Nebraska’s strength.
