The Nebraska Environmental Trust was created in 1992 using revenue from the Nebraska Lottery. The Nebraska Environmental Trust is unique in America.

Combining citizen perspective with the accountability of the State of Nebraska, the Trust works to protect our natural resources for future generations to enjoy. The Trust is staffed by 5 members and is located in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Trust is funded by proceeds from the Nebraska Lottery.
