The Lincoln Police Department is partnering with Voices Against Violence for the month of October to show our support for survivors.
Throughout the month, you'll see purple ribbons displayed on our cruisers, courtesy of Voices Against Violence, as a reminder that domestic violence affects our communities and that survivors are not alone.
As law enforcement, we understand that we are often one of the first points of contact for someone experiencing domestic violence. We want our community to know that we take these situations seriously, that support is available and that no one should have to face abuse alone.
This small gesture represents a much bigger message: We stand with survivors, we support those seeking help, and domestic violence has no place in our community.
Thank you to Voices Against Violence for the important work they do and for partnering with us to raise awareness and show our support.
Together, we can make a difference.
