Its that time of year where Halloween is getting closer. Many of our families enjoy hitting up some trunk or treats before the big night. Below are lists for both Omaha and Lincoln for Trunk or Treats that are happening now until the end of the month!

What's a better team outing than a trip to Junkstock?? Last Friday the Foster Care Team took a short break from work to go explore Junkstock and all it had to offer. There were so many great vendors and the food choices were top notch!

We had a CEDARS Foster Home generously donate this 4 person zoo and train pass to the Lincoln Children's Zoo. It is set to expire next month. Are there any current CEDARS Foster Parents who would like to claim this? First to respond, it will be yours!

This is a picture of pure joy 🩷 Lucy asked Kaihden to call everyone he knows to tell them she has been adopted by her forever family!! Congratulations to the Lamonte family!!

Although reunification is the main goal of foster care, we know sometimes that is not a reality so we love to celebrate all moments of permanency with the children in our care.

Congratulations to our September Foster Parent of the Month, Maria Montes.

Maria has done a fantastic job of stabilizing and caring for the 3 young siblings in her home. She took them in as an emergency placement and ensured that these children could stay within a Spanish-speaking home. The children started out with some behaviors, but her structure and love have really helped them thrive. Maria has stated how grateful she is to be part of the kids' lives and how much she is supporting reunification with their biological family. And now Maria has agreed to take the two younger siblings of this family into her home so that all of the children can be together.

Thank you for all that you do Maria!!

Saturdays are for Husker Football!! These little fans got to experience their first Husker Football game this past weekend and had a blast. Football and CEDARS foster families go hand in hand in our eyes❤️
