On Thursday 10/15/2026 just prior to 10:30pm the Lincoln Fire Department along with Lincoln Police Department & Linwood Ambulance Service were dispatched to Interstate 93 Southbound for a tractor trailer acccident.

Upon arrival of the fire chief & police department they located a tractor trailer truck on its side well off the road. The driver and sole occupant of the truck was trapped in the truck. At this time mutual was requested from Woodstock Fire Department, NH for additional personnel.

The driver was safely extricated from the truck and turned over to EMS for patient care. A medical helicopter was requested but unavailable so the patient was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Units cleared the scene at approximately 3am on 10/16/2026. B&B towing arrived to remove the truck. NHDOT closed the Exit 33 on and off ramps so responders could work safely.

Before you consider igniting your flame weeder propane torch, please take these safety considerations into account:

Check for any local burn bans or restrictions on the use of open flame devices in your area.

Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect against heat and flying debris (i.e. close toes shoes, long sleeves and pants, eyewear, gloves, etc.)

Always have a dedicated water source, such as a garden hose or a fire extinguisher, readily available to quickly extinguish any unintended fires.

Never use the torch near flammable materials, including dry leaves and brush, wood mulch, wooden fences, or structures. Even the heat rising from the flame can damage nearby objects or plants.

Read your manual for proper use of your equipment to maintain safety.
