SCIP's annual "Hop, SCIP, Jump, and Run" brought to you by Family Health & Wellness Center, P.C. took place on June 5, 2026, at Antelope Park. All proceeds benefit School Community Intervention & Prevention (SCIP), a program of Lincoln Medical Education Partnership.
Before the race, participants had the opportunity to visit community resource booths and do activities to become eligible for prizes.
SCIP works with schools throughout Nebraska by providing tools and resources to address behavioral and emotional health issues that impact children, adolescents, and their families. Annual trainings are also offered on a variety of behavioral and emotional health topics, like bullying, current drug trends, and su***de prevention, to the community and school staff.
Money raised at the event will help SCIP provide needed resources to schools and families throughout the state of Nebraska.

Taisa Brumagen (Wellbeing Initiative and CFAC), Sadie Thompson (Wellbeing Initiative), Jade Fowler (Region 5 Systems), Kristin Nelson (Region 5 Systems), Nicki Behmer-Popp (NABHO) and , Tami Lewis-Ahrendt (CenterPointe) attended the National Council for Mental Wellbeing's Hill Day in Washington, D.C.
Together, they met with staff from Nebraska's congressional delegation to advocate for policies and funding that strengthen behavioral health services, expand access to mental health and substance use treatment, and support the workforce that makes recovery and community integration possible.
These conversations are critical to ensuring that Nebraskans have access to the services and supports they need to thrive. Thank you to Nebraska's congressional offices for taking the time to hear directly from providers, advocates, and individuals with lived experience about the challenges and opportunities facing behavioral health systems across our state
