Voters must now register to vote in person at the Election Commission Office since the online and postmark voter registration deadlines have passed.

Commissioner Wiltgen also emphasizes the deadline for a voter to request a ballot be mailed to them for general election is also tomorrow Friday, October 23rd at 6:00 PM.

State law permits any registered voter to cast an early ballot. However, voters must request that ballot request in writing. An early voter request form is available on the Election Commissioner’s website at: www.Lancaster.ne.gov/Election
Voters who do not have access to a printer may also submit a handwritten request.

In addition to providing their name, address and signature, voters must also include a Nebraska Driver’s License or State ID Number; or a photocopy of another valid photo identification; or a reasonable impediment certification. For more information about Nebraska Voter ID requirements, visit www.VoterID.Nebraska.gov

Completed requests may be dropped off at any drop box location listed below:

Walt Branch Library, 6701 South 14th Street

A scanned copy or a readable photo of the completed request may also be emailed to the Election Commission at: [email protected]

The Election Commission Office will be open extended hours from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Friday, October 23rd to accommodate both deadlines.

Early voters will need to obtain their General Election ballot in-person or vote in-person at the Election Commission starting Monday, October 26th.
