Cavett Elementary School Every person, every day, engaged in collaborative learning, using technology and adapting to the needs of a changing global community.

Cavett Elementary is located at 7701 South 36th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska. The school is named after Alva and Dorcas Cavett, two respected Lincoln educators. Cavett is identical in size and design to three other Lincoln Elementary Schools: Maxey, Roper, and Campbell. When opened in 1995, Cavett covered 66,602 square feet and had the ability to house 448 students. Due to growth in Lincoln and in the Pine Lake/Williamsburg area, Cavett was quickly overflowing. In 2007-08 additional classroom space of 27,645 square feet was added, increasing the capacity of the school to 792 students and eliminating all portable classroom buildings from the school site.
