Middle school students at Goodrich and Moore improved their test scores, trust levels and teamwork skills this year through an AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) tutorials process! Members of AVID classes at both schools worked together in small groups to answer questions about various academic subjects. Classmates helped each other figure out answers to their queries, which led to academic and prosocial learning benefits.

HUGE thank-you from all of our 8th-grade business students to our guest speakers who took the time to visit our classroom and talk about careers this semester. Students had the opportunity to learn firsthand from a variety of careers, including education requirements, job outlook, high school class suggestions, a day-in-the-life of these careers, as well as other similar pathways for students interested in these career clusters! 8th-grade business students had a wonderful time at the University of Nebraska College of Business. While on their trip, they learned about college life, scholarships, business majors, Clifton Strength test, tours of the College or Business, the campus library, the campus union, and enjoyed lunch at the dining hall. Thank you to all of the UNL staff for taking the time with our business students!
