WPUSD - Lincoln Crossing Elementary TK-5 Elementary School We continue to focus on our academic program, especially as we continue to implement the Common Core standards.

designed around the key skills students need to be successful in college and career, are designed to provide a consistent set of expectations that are robust and relevant. We’re excited to welcome some of our **local Lincoln First Responders** to LCE Monday morning! They’ll be at the **front gate greeting our C**ts as they arrive** and helping us kick off **Red Ribbon Week of Respect!**

❤️ They’ll also be **passing out red wristbands**, so be sure to arrive in time to join the fun!

Our morning greeters help make the start of each school day extra special! These amazing students greet their classmates with smiles, lend a helping hand by opening car doors, and help make our morning drop-off safe and welcoming.

LCE Veteran's Day

Dear C**t Families,Honoring the men and women who have served our country is an important tradition at Lincoln Crossing, and we look forward to continuing that recognition this year. While our approach will look a little different from the past three years, our gratitude for their service and sacrifice remains unchanged.While we are unable to host an on-campus assembly with invited veterans this year, we will continue to honor their service through classroom and schoolwide activities. We know gathering in person has been a meaningful tradition for our families and veterans, and we understand the disappointment some have shared about this change.Our C**ts will continue to honor veterans through meaningful classroom activities, writing letters to veterans, our Veterans Day slideshow, and our Veteran Hero Wall. Our choir will also contribute a special performance. We will share the slideshow and choir performance with students in class and with our Lincoln Crossing school community.Through these experiences, students have opportunities to learn about the meaning of Veterans Day, express their appreciation, and recognize the courage, service, and sacrifices of those who have served our country. We remain committed to helping our students understand why we honor our veterans and the value of expressing gratitude to those who have given so much.We are grateful for the veterans in our Lincoln Crossing community and beyond, and we thank them for their service. We look forward to continuing to help our C**ts recognize and honor these remarkable individuals.Sincerely,

I hope you had a great weekend! This week we continue our APEX Fundraiser, complete with Fun Run on Thursday, October 8th, and C**t SUPER Hero Dress Up Day.
