TODAY IS NATIONAL MENTORING DAY!

For first-generation students, navigating the college application process and transition to higher education can be uniquely challenging. Having a dedicated mentor typically results in higher retention rates among first-generation college students and has been shown to positively influence academic performance.

Volunteer mentors are the backbone of the Stevenson to College (S2C) program. These dedicated community members play a critical role in guiding and supporting S2C Scholars as they navigate the complex landscape of higher education.

Today, and throughout the year, we are grateful for the commitment of our volunteer mentors and their dedication to shaping the future of our ambitious scholars.

Thank you to the incredible donors, volunteers, artists, and community members who helped make the Stevenson Foundation's 2026 Nashville Unplugged Benefit an outstanding success!

On Friday, September 18, guests enjoyed an unforgettable night of live music and storytelling at the Highland Park Community House.

Just over $101,000 was raised to support crucial Stevenson Foundation programs like Stevenson to College (S2C) and One Family.

In just a few weeks, we'll welcome Patriots back to campus for our biggest alumni event of the year!

All graduates are invited to join us for our Alumni Celebration on Friday, October 2, in the Alumni Pavilion as we cheer on the Patriots at the Homecoming game.

This year, we're trying something a little different by bringing in several local vendors to serve some alumni favorites. Lou Malnati’s will be dishing out personal pizzas, Culver’s will offer Concrete Mixers, and Fat Rosie's will have guacamole, chips, and more. The Stevenson team will also be serving up traditional game-day favorites, including hot dogs and burgers. Guests can also enjoy complimentary Culver’s Pretzel Bites and a souvenir Stevenson Root B**r while they take in the game and reconnect with fellow graduates.

On Saturday, October 3, the Alumni Association will host milestone celebrations for the classes of 1986, 1996, 2001, 2006, and 2016 at Eddie Merlot’s in Lincolnshire. It will be a great opportunity for these classes to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate the milestones they’ve reached since their time at Stevenson.

This month, Eddie Merlot’s in Lincolnshire is partnering with the Stevenson Foundation to support students at SHS who face financial hardship.

Throughout September, 20% of all dessert purchases will be donated directly to the Foundation.

Guests can also make a direct donation. Donate $10 or more and receive a $10 dining voucher to use toward a future visit in October or November.

Last month, Stevenson to College (S2C) community members gathered with family, friends, and mentors for the program’s annual S2C Summer Celebration.

Like every S2C gathering, the evening began with a meal -- a chance for current Scholars, Summit Scholars, and S2C Mentors to reconnect, share stories, and reflect on their journeys to and through college. The S2C Summer Celebration recognizes the determination of S2C Scholars and the tireless guidance of the volunteer mentors who help them navigate the path to and through higher education.

The MVP back at SHS.

Jalen Brunson Youth Basketball Camp | Year 8

After leading the New York Knicks to an NBA Championship and being named Finals MVP last month, Jalen Brunson ‘15 returned to Stevenson this week to host his annual youth basketball camp and inspire the next generation of Patriots.

Proceeds from Jalen's camp support several Jalen Brunson Patriot Pride Scholarships, awarded each spring to SHS students through the Stevenson Foundation's Senior Scholarship Program.
