Update

Lincoln County schools were put on a hard lock down due to a threat that was made against the high/middle school. A thorough search of the school was done by Lincolnton Police Department, Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, Wilkes County Sheriff's Office, Georgia State Patrol and Department of Public Safetys Commercial Vehicle Enforcement. Nothing was found during the search. We will also be taking precautions by providing extra law enforcement presence on campus tomorrow. We would also like to thank everyone for the quick response.

Last year for Halloween on Kelly Street we received some complaints about side by sides and golf carts. So on Saturday October 31st for the Halloween fun on Kelly Street we will be allowing side by sides and golf carts on Kelly Street. We are however asking that only adults drive on Kelly Street with golf carts and side by sides. We will still be allowing vehicles to drive on Kelly Street but only if you live on Kelly Street or if you are going to a specific house and will be staying there.

Scam Alert!!!!
Several residents have gotten phone calls from persons posing as law enforcement officers. The caller will say the the person's personal information has been compromised and used for illegal purposes. They are then told to send cash or gift cards to a out of state address.
If you do receive one of these calls just hang up immediately.
Reminder that law enforcement will never call and ask for money.
