Every sponsor who helped make the Night of Hope banquet what it was… we want to THANK YOU!

We couldn't do this ministry without you. Your partnership means the world to us, and because of you, over $300,000 was raised to bring hope to moms and families across East Texas.

Thank you for making this night so very special. đź’›

SHE PRAYED FOR ONE MORE MOMENT

A pregnancy test led to a conversation about something much bigger.

Emily came to the AXIA Center for a pregnancy test and consultation. During her appointment, our advocate felt led to encourage her, telling her she was a strong, persevering woman who had been carrying a lot. When asked how we could pray for her, Emily opened up.

Her three children were staying with their father in Houston when Emily went to pick them up and he refused to let her take them home. Concerned for her children, she contacted the police. Officers confirmed that the children were safe inside the home, but because Emily did not have a formal custody agreement, there was nothing they could do to remove the children from their father’s care. Emily had to leave Houston without them.

A friend told her to go home, kneel, and pray. So she did. "God, please let me see my children one more time, even if in just a dream."

Three days later, she dreamed all three ran into her arms in a courtroom.

After two more court dates, Emily was granted full custody of all three children.

Emily was also carrying a healthy pregnancy, bringing even more hope into a season that had been so difficult.

Today, Emily and her children pray together every night. đź’›

She was making the bed when everything changed.

After Roe v. Wade was overturned, Robyn kept praying the same prayer: "Lord, show me where I can be a helper. Where can I plug in? Where can I help?"

Then one ordinary afternoon, mid-chore, the answer came all at once: "Okay, Lord, this is it. I know this is what I need to do."

Now she's our new Pregnancy Resource Center coordinator, and she says these girls have softened her heart and opened her eyes to the great need.

We love our supporters! Just listen to this! đź’›

Our Night of Hope banquet was packed, and we loved hearing why they partner with us in their own words. Thanks to @ [Steve Gardner], this recap says it better than we ever could. There is space for everyone to be part of this ministry.

What an incredible night. The love and support shared around the tables and stage at this year’s banquet truly showed what our community is all about.

We are so thankful to God for His faithfulness to watch over and care for this ministry.

We could not do this work without a dedicated community of supporters, volunteers, and staff. The need for Living Alternatives' resources is as important as it ever has been, and we are excited to share more next week on how the banquet is a catalyst for our work for the remainder of this year and into 2027!

What did you enjoy about the banquet last night? Let us know in the comments.

At 20, most of us thought we had a plan. A timeline. A picture of exactly how life would look for our future selves.

Listen as Carol Morgan shares her story of what happens when life doesn't follow that plan, and why she has come to believe that waiting isn't the same as standing still.

Waiting is active. It's moving forward even when you don't have all the answers yet. It's trusting that wherever you're planted right now there is space to grow.

Carol's story is a reminder that God's plan is beautiful when we follow and obey, even when it looks nothing like what we imagined at 20.

What’s it like to work at the same job with your spouse? We love how Stephen and Amber work together at the AXIA Center every day. Same building, same mission, same team.

We got a sneak peek with them of what it actually looks like day to day, and underneath the fun, there's a real reminder for every couple, married or working together or both:

👉 You're on the same team.

Marriage isn't a competition, and neither is ministry. When you remember you're working with each other, everything gets a little lighter, even the hard days.

Grateful for couples like Stephen and Amber who show us what that looks like in real time. đź’›

Roughly 25% of abortions nationwide are done through telehealth. This includes Texas.

We wrote about this in our Summer Newsletter. Comment “Newsletter” in this post, and we will DM you a .pdf copy.

🙏 Prayer Point: Please continue to pray that women will change their minds and reach out to us. Given the time frame, the Abortion Reversal Pill can be effective.

The work we are doing is important. Share this post. Send support. Stay engaged.

Every story matters. Every life is sacred.

We are finding, you may or may not agree, that most people are looking for the same thing: a place to belong.

That's the conviction behind every program we run at Living Alternatives. Building Blocks, GirlTalk, DadLife, and Fatherheart aren’t just random services we started. They're programs we built so that no mom, dad, or family walks through a pregnancy alone.

This story: 👉 A young woman first came to The AXIA Center from India, coming from a Hindu background, simply hoping to find community. Today, she's part of Building Blocks and GirlTalk, her husband is in DadLife, and she's told us it's the highlight of her week. 🙌

That's not an accident. It's the outcome of intentionally building programs around belonging.

Thank you to our volunteers. Every person who shows up to lead a group, mentor a mom, or simply be present is part of what makes someone feel like they’ve found a home. And to every donor partnership, your support doesn't just fund programs... it funds belonging.
