Attention Patriots Families,

Governor Kay Ivey has declared a state of emergency for 40 counties in Alabama as the state prepares for potential impacts from Tropical System Isaias in the Gulf. The Linden City School District is actively monitoring forecast updates; this state of emergency enables the district and other agencies to implement necessary preparations ahead of any landfall. The state of emergency takes effect today at 4:00 p.m. and is scheduled to remain in force for seven days, expiring on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 11:59 p.m., unless Governor Ivey announces a different expiration time.

Dr. Marlon B. Murray,Ed.D
