🎃 Halloween Safety Tips from Hilltown Fire Company! 🚒

As everyone heads out for a night of trick-or-treating, we want to wish our community a fun, safe, and SPOOK-tacular Halloween!

A few reminders to keep everyone safe tonight:

👻 Be Visible: Carry a flashlight or glow sticks, and consider reflective tape on costumes.

🚸 Cross Safely: Use crosswalks, look both ways, and avoid darting between parked cars.

🎃 Costume Safety: Make sure costumes fit properly to prevent trips and falls. Opt for face paint instead of masks that may obstruct vision.

🚗 Drive Carefully: Expect increased pedestrian traffic. Slow down, stay alert, and watch for children in residential neighborhoods.

🍬 Treat Check: Parents should inspect candy before children enjoy their Halloween treats.

🔥 Decorations: Keep candles and open flames away from costumes and decorations. Use battery-operated lights in jack-o’-lanterns whenever possible.

🚒 Congratulations to Perseverance Volunteer Fire Company on 125 Years of Service! 🎉

We’d like to congratulate our neighboring fire company on this incredible milestone! The Hilltown Township Board of Supervisors recognized Souderton Fire Company’s 125 years of dedicated service, commitment to community safety, and support for neighboring communities at tonight’s supervisors meeting.

We are grateful for the longstanding partnership and mutual aid between our departments and the dedication that keeps our communities safe.

Here’s to 125 years of service and many more to come! 👏

🚒 Thank you to everyone who joined us last night at Hilltown Fire Company for our “Meet the Chiefs” community information session!

Chief Jim Walter of Hilltown Fire Company and Chief Clifford Mungavin of Chal-Brit Regional EMS shared presentations on the true cost of readiness and what it takes to keep fire and EMS services staffed, equipped, and ready to respond 24/7.

Transparency and community understanding are essential to the future of emergency services. These conversations provide an opportunity to learn where funding comes from, what it takes to maintain readiness, and how these services support our community every day.

📣 Couldn’t make it last night? There’s still an opportunity to attend! Join us for the next session on Thursday, October 15, at 5:00 PM at Chal-Brit Regional EMS Headquarters, 201 Park Avenue, Chalfont.

This session is free and open to all residents. Come listen, ask questions, and learn more about the emergency services you depend on. We hope to see you there!

Happy to host Chal-Brit Regional EMS in our station last week! Our in-house duty crew was present to take on any fire calls, while the ambulance handled all medical responses. We love getting to work together to serve our community!
