Three Rivers Electric Cooperative took 1st place in the team division and brought home the Governor’s Cup at the Missouri Electric Cooperatives’ Lineman’s Rodeo in Jefferson City last week!

Held Oct. 7-8, the two-day competition brought together nearly 70 lineworkers from 11 electric cooperatives to test their skills, knowledge and commitment to safety. Events included hurt-man rescue, modified pole climbs, long-stick work and equipment skills courses, all designed to put precision and proper work practices to the test.

Beyond the competition, the rodeo gives lineworkers an opportunity to learn from one another, build relationships and strengthen the teamwork that becomes especially important when crews work together to restore power after major storms.

Congratulations to our linemen on an outstanding performance! We’re proud to see TREC bring home both the team division title and the Governor’s Cup!

Three Rivers Electric Cooperative remembers retired employee Jerry Sprenger, who dedicated 42 years of service to our cooperative.

Jerry began his career at TREC as a laborer, advancing through the ranks to lineman and eventually foreman. He took great pride in his work and faithfully served Three Rivers Electric until his retirement in 2003.

We are grateful for Jerry’s many years of dedication and the part he played in our cooperative’s history.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.

When cooperatives need a helping hand, the co-op family answers the call.

Three Rivers Electric Cooperative was proud to be among the Missouri electric cooperatives sending crews to Alabama to help restore power following Hurricane Isaias.

A total of 184 lineworkers and support personnel from 30 Missouri electric cooperatives joined the mutual aid effort, putting the cooperative spirit into action.

We’re proud to be part of a cooperative family that shows up for one another. Thank you to all the crews answering the call. We wish them safe travels, safe work in the field, and a safe return home.

Scheduling system maintenance now can help your heating system run more efficiently this winter. Replace your air filter regularly and schedule a professional tune-up before the winter chill arrives. A well-maintained system can improve comfort and help manage energy use.

Be safe out there this harvest season.

As you’re working in the fields, always be aware of overhead power lines and keep equipment a safe distance away. When operating near power lines, use a spotter to help watch for hazards and stay clear of the lines.

A few extra seconds of caution can make a big difference. Stay safe, stay aware and have a safe harvest.

Last Wednesday, Three Rivers Electric Cooperative hosted an Emergency Personnel Partnership meeting with those who help respond when our communities need us most.

It was a great opportunity to connect with our neighbors, share information and strengthen the relationships that matter when an emergency happens. We’re all part of the same communities, and working together helps us better serve the people who call them home.

We hope we were able to connect with everyone who plays a role in responding to emergencies in our communities. If we missed you, we’d love to connect!

Thank you to everyone who joined us!
