Ni****ne Dependency can happen to anyone but knowing the facts is important. Did you know that people who smoke ci**rs are exposed to ni****ne and toxic chemicals, such as those that cause cancer. This is also true for people who report they do not inhale cigar smoke when using the products. Regularly smoking ci**rs is associated with an increased cancer risk for lungs, esophagus, larynx, and oral cavity (lip, tongue, mouth, throat).

October is National Bullying Prevention Week.

Bullying Prevention Starts With Everyday Moments. 💙

October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Parents and caregivers can help make bullying prevention part of everyday life through simple conversations and everyday interactions.

Talk with your child about kindness, inclusion, friendship and respect. Help them build confidence, speak up safely, include others and know when to ask a trusted adult for help.

Small moments of connection can make a big difference.

Hosting teens? Make the expectation clear.

Alcohol should be off-limits to anyone under 21. Setting that boundary helps create a safer space for everyone.

Be a safe space. Not a source.

How many drinks are in your drink?

🍂🍻 Fall gatherings are here!

Whether you’re enjoying a bonfire, getting together with friends, or simply relaxing on a crisp fall evening, it’s easy to lose track of how much alcohol is actually in your drink.

How many drinks are in your drink? Cocktails, pours, and serving sizes can add up faster than you think. Take a quick look at the Alculator to better understand what’s in your glass.

💭 Stress can look different for every child.

Kids may show stress in ways we don’t always expect — through tears, silence, changes in behavior or simply needing a little extra support. 💛

Remind them: “It’s OK to feel this way.” Then help them name what they’re feeling and find healthy ways to cope.

Some things you can try together:

🌬️ Take slow, deep breaths
🌳 Go for a walk or spend some time outside
🎨 Draw, journal or listen to calming music
✅ Break big tasks into smaller, manageable steps
