HYDRANT FLUSHING

Beginning on the evening of Sunday October 25, 2026, the Linton Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants. The flushing process will take 4 nights to complete the entire system. The flushing will begin each night at 8PM and will last until 6 AM the following mornings. Therefore, all flushing activities will be completed by 6 AM on Thursday October 29, 2026. During the process, customers may notice a discoloration of the water. It is recommended that clothes washing be kept to a minimum during the hours listed above, as discolored water has been known to cause stains in white or light-colored clothing. For additional information contact the Utility Office at 812-847-4971.

Please make sure your past-due utility balance is paid to avoid disconnection of service.

This does NOT apply to October bills. Disconnects are for unpaid balances from prior months only.
