Reno Township Fire Protection is provided by the Leavenworth County Fire District #2 (LVCOFD #2) since 2024 We operate from one station with 5 trucks.

Reno Township consists of the southwest portion of Leavenworth County, KS, a rural/residential area of 40 square miles including 8 miles of the Kansas Turnpike. Reno Township Fire Department is located in Leavenworth County Kansas, between Tonganoxie and Lawrence. The department protects a rural/residential area of 40 square miles including 8 miles of the Kansas Turnpike. We are a public department, whose members are all on volunteer status. We provide mutual aid with all departments in Leavenworth and Jefferson Counties, and at this time Eudora City Fire in Douglas County.

As of Jan 1, 2024 RENO TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETINGS are held on the second Tuesday of the first month of each quarter!

2026 SCHEDULE AS FOLLOWS:

This schedule has been in effect with the formation of Lv Co Fire District #2.

The Fire District 2 Meetings are the 1st Monday of each month at the Main Fire House in Linwood.
