Stopped by Carthage Area Hospital to hear from 1199SEIU members.

The hospital is in bankruptcy, along with the rest of North Star Health Alliance, and staff told me how hard it's become just to get basic supplies. Nurses and aides are being asked to do more with less. That isn't fair to them or anyone they serve.

This is the closest maternity unit to Fort Drum, so military families depend on it. Seniors at Meadowbrook Terrace down the road face their own financial uncertainty.

Rural medical centers run on Medicaid, and the cuts haven't even fully landed yet. In Congress, I'll fight to restore that funding so nobody up here has to drive hours for treatment.

Had a great time in Croghan yesterday! Stopping by Eddie’s Meat Market and meeting the owners of so many other shops around town showed exactly why Lewis County is special.

You have to try some ring bologna, a true North Country classic!

These small businesses are the heart of this community, and they deserve a representative who will fight for them. In Congress, I’ll always have their backs.

1 in 3 households in the district are union households and more than 20 labor organizations are behind us. If you're not representing labor, you're not representing New York's 21st district.

You can’t sign a right-to-work pledge, call to end police unions, and then show up at a parade in their colors. This shirt means something to working people here, and I’ll wear it with pride as their voice in Congress.

Incredible energy in Hudson Falls the other night! Our Harvest the Vote Tour is crisscrossing the district to talk with voters about lowering costs, saving rural healthcare, and working with anyone to get it done.

Families across the North Country and Upstate New York face choosing between food and fuel this winter. We need someone in Washington who fights for people here, not party bosses.

Next stop is Rome! The VP rolls into town Monday, so let’s beat him there and show what this community really stands for. See you at Fort Stanwix tomorrow.

Almost half the voters in NY-21 are over 65, and they deserve a representative who keeps the promises made to them. I sat down with City & State and AARP New York to talk about what our seniors and veterans are facing.

When my mom had a stroke this summer, she had to travel five hours to Albany for care because the hospitals near us are in bankruptcy. That’s why I’m fighting to roll back the Medicaid cuts that are threatening rural healthcare. I’ll protect Social Security as the earned benefit it is and crack down on scammers who target older New Yorkers.
