IMPORTANT UPDATE: Lisbon Communications Center Transition to
Androscoggin County Regional Communications Center
The Lisbon Police Department wants to make residents aware of several upcoming changes as dispatch services provided by the Lisbon Communications Center transition to the Androscoggin County Regional Communications Center.
Beginning October 4, 2026, at 7:00 PM, overnight dispatch services will transition to Androscoggin County. During this interim period, Lisbon dispatchers will continue to staff the local Communications Center from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM each day.
As part of this transition, the Police Department lobby will be closed nightly from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM while security improvements to the lobby are completed.
Lisbon Police Officers will continue to provide 24-hour police services to the community. Anyone needing police assistance during overnight hours may call 207-353-2500 and select extension 1 to reach a police officer. As always, for an emergency, dial 911.
The overnight lobby closure will remain in place until the security improvements are completed. Once those improvements are finished, a telephone will be available in the lobby so members of the public can report an incident or request police assistance when a dispatcher is not physically present.
Full Dispatch Transition - January 1, 2027
Effective January 1, 2027, the Lisbon Communications Center will permanently close, and dispatching for the Lisbon Police Department will be provided 24 hours a day by the Androscoggin County Regional Communications Center.
This transition applies only to communications and dispatch services. Lisbon Police Officers will continue providing 24-hour police services to the community, including patrol, response to calls for service, investigations, and other law enforcement services provided by the Lisbon Police Department.
Our regular Police Department telephone number, 207-353-2500, will not change.
We appreciate the community's patience as we work through these changes and complete the necessary security improvements to our lobby. We will continue to provide updates as the transition moves forward.
