A reverent and happy Columbus Day to you all. Italian-American contributions to this country can not be denied and must be remembered, not re-written. More U. S. WW2 service members than any other ethnicity. Most of our Capital's great monuments carved by skilled italian craftsman during the early past century, most of whom never made it past their forties because of the dust that they inhaled. For too long we have endured the cheapened Hollywood stereotypes, and not those of our great scientific and strong family/work culture. This day we remember not just Columbus, but all Americans with Italian heritage.
