This morning, we were proud to recognize Officer Brian Brendal, Officer Tony Matthew, Officer Jen Schebo, Sgt. Jim Dexter, and Social Worker Janet Jakova with Chief’s Letters of Recognition for their compassionate response to a recent call involving a person in crisis.

Through patience, calm communication, and teamwork, they de-escalated a difficult situation and helped the individual safely receive needed care. Their actions demonstrate the importance of taking time to listen, building trust, and treating people with dignity during some of their most vulnerable moments.

Thank you for representing the very best of the Lisle Police Department and serving our community with care and professionalism.

We are proud of Sgt. Wise’s continued dedication to keeping our roads safe from impaired drivers. Thank you, MADD Illinois, Iowa & Wisconsin for recognizing his efforts and for your commitment to this lifesaving mission!

We had the honor of recognizing Sergeant Wise of the Lisle Police Department with his well-deserved MADD Hero Award.

Our Illinois Program Manager, Cece Miglio, presented Sergeant Wise with the award in recognition of his dedicated efforts in impaired driving enforcement throughout 2025. With 27 years of experience and leadership in DUI enforcement and traffic safety, Sergeant Wise continues to make a meaningful impact by mentoring fellow officers, supporting community education, and helping strengthen DUI enforcement efforts.

We’re incredibly grateful for Sergeant Wise’s commitment to keeping our roads and communities safe and for all he does to support MADD’s mission.

🚨 TRAFFIC ALERT – STRUCTURE FIRE 🚨

The Lisle Police Department and Lisle-Woodridge Fire District are currently responding to a structure fire in the area of Valley Forge Road and Surrey Ridge Drive in the Green Trails subdivision.

Valley Forge Road is currently CLOSED between Surrey Ridge Drive and New Albany Road.

Please avoid the area, use alternate routes, and allow emergency personnel room to work safely.

Working under the direction of the Chief of Police, the Executive Assistant provides complex research-based, technical, financial, and/or policy driven administrative support to the Police Department. A successful candidate will possess an understanding of organizational and basic operational aspects of municipal government, be knowledgeable in budgetary principles and practices, be familiar with payroll practices and implementation, work well among various groups within and outside of the organization, and provide administrative services to the Command Staff.

FORE a great cause! ⛳️

The Lisle PD team of Kate Kupfer, Amanda McLaughlin, Jake Kupfer, Brad Frost, and John Hoffman hit the links today for the Special Olympics Illinois Unified Topgolf event in Naperville.

They teamed up with Special Olympian Ellie for an afternoon of friendly competition, teamwork, inclusion, and plenty of fun. We were proud to support an event that gave everyone the opportunity to step up, take a swing, and celebrate together!

Many thanks to Officer Jake Kupfer for organizing our participation, and to Special Olympics Illinois and the Law Enforcement Torch Run for another fantastic event!

The Lisle Police Department is proud to congratulate Officer Allie Cable and Sergeant Bill Wise, who were honored with the 2026 MADD Hero Awards for their outstanding efforts to combat impaired driving and keep our roadways safe.

The ceremony also featured a powerful, deeply personal message from our Records Supervisor, Kelly Wasko, who bravely shared the tragic story of how impaired driving forever changed her family. It was an important reminder of why this work matters.

We are incredibly proud of Allie, Bill, and Kelly for their service, courage, and commitment to making a difference.

The Lisle Police Department joins our community and nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We honor the first responders whose courage and sacrifice defined that day, and all who served in the days and years that followed.

Twenty-five years later, we will never forget.
