Big trucks, curious kids and a whole lot of learning!

We had a great time celebrating Co-op Month at Ripley Elementary School's Touch-A-Truck event in Litchfield!

More than 300 K–2 students and teachers had the opportunity to explore our bucket truck, meet lineman Brandon Skalberg and learn more about the work we do to keep our communities powered. Our Energy Services and Economic Development Manager, Steve Kosbab, was also on hand to answer questions and help guide students through the experience.

We also distributed more than 530 Utility Safety Booklets to students throughout the school, helping young learners understand the importance of electrical safety.

A big thank-you to Towmaster for inviting us to participate alongside them as they celebrated Manufacturing Month. We're grateful for opportunities like this to connect with the next generation!

Central air? Air-source heat pump? Ground-source heat pump? Mini-split?

There’s more than one way to keep your home comfortable. The right solution depends on your home, existing system and heating and cooling needs.
Check out the comparison in the October Pioneer to see how the options stack up.

It’s Touch-A-Truck day at Ripley Elementary!

Today, we’re joining Towmaster to give kindergarten through second-grade students an up-close look at a Meeker Energy bucket truck. Kids will get to explore the equipment, learn a little about the work behind reliable electric service and take home a coloring book, too.

We’re excited to celebrate Co-op Month by spending the day with some curious young learners!

Did you know? That small zap you feel after walking across the carpet can measure up to 20,000 volts!

While that number sounds surprising, static electricity usually isn’t dangerous because the electrical current is extremely low and lasts only a moment. It’s a quick reminder that electricity can pack a powerful punch, even in the smallest everyday moments.

October is Co-op Month! 💙

At Meeker Energy, being a cooperative means the people we serve are also the people who own us. That difference shapes how we make decisions, serve members, manage resources and plan for the future.

This month, we’re sharing what the cooperative difference means to the employees who live it every day.
