The weather looks great for tomorrow's vintage military vehicle show. Cloudy with highs only in the eighties. We've got hot dogs, buns, chips and ice cream ready. The vehicles arrive in the morning and the show runs from 9 am through 2 pm. Come early and enjoy all that the City's oldest park has to offer, from great museums to the dog park and accessible playground.

Join us this Saturday, October 10 for our 13th Annual Vintage Military Vehicle Show. Thanks to our great partners - Bluebell Creameries, Central Arkansas Water, Home Instead, and Hospice Home Care - we'll have free water, ice cream, grilled hot dogs and chips. Interact with members of the Arkansas Military Vehicle Preservation Association and the 87th Troop Command of the Arkansas National Guard on the historic parade grounds behind the museum.

Today we say farewell to one of our museum family. Shane has been an integral part of our staff since 2016. His dedication and passion for public history has touched many lives over the past decade. From the community center kids who looked forward to seeing Mr. Shane each week, the school groups who he introduced to the history of the Arsenal Building, and the visitors from across the country and world who he welcomed to the museum - all left with a fuller appreciation and awareness of Arkansas military history. Although we'll miss him, we wish him all the best in his new role as Guest Services Manager at the Old State House Museum.
