Every child deserves to get to and from school safely. As we recognize National School Bus Safety Week, remember you are an important part of the total safety awareness program for students who travel to and from school by bus — not just this week, but every day.
🚸 Observe these important safety tips:
👀 Watch for children near bus stops, along roadways and when crossing the street.
🛑 Stop when a school bus has its red lights flashing and stop arm extended.
📵 Stay focused and avoid distractions while driving.
🐢 Slow down in school zones and residential areas where children may be present.

🎃📚 A Little Storytime, A Big Life Lesson, and a Pumpkin Patch Adventure! 🍂🧡

Our College Station Elementary Kindergarten Champions kicked off their pumpkin patch adventure this morning with a very special storytime in the library! 📖✨

Before heading out, we read Spookley the Square Pumpkin and talked about an important lesson: Never judge a book by its cover! 💕 Just like people, pumpkins come in all shapes, sizes, and colors, and our differences are what make us SPECIAL! 🌟

After a great discussion, our little artists got creative and drew their very own unique pumpkins! 🖍️🎨

But the REAL magic happened when we arrived at the pumpkin patch! 🎃 Instead of searching for the biggest, roundest, or most perfect orange pumpkin, our Champions were on a mission to find pumpkins with PERSONALITY! 🥹🧡

Some proudly brought home pumpkins with bumps, blemishes, unusual shapes, and even colors other than orange! They weren't looking for perfection… they were celebrating what made each pumpkin UNIQUE! 🥰

And THAT is when you know a lesson has truly stuck! ❤️

Sometimes the most meaningful learning happens when a good book connects to a real-world experience. Today, our Kindergarten Champions reminded us that beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, and colors, and being different is something worth celebrating! 🎃💙

🌟🔭 Our First Grade Scientists Are Reaching for the STARS! 🌟✨

Science was OUT OF THIS WORLD in Mr. T.'s first-grade classroom! 🚀🌎

Our little scientists explored the fascinating world of stars and discovered why we can see stars at night but not during the day! 🌞🌙⭐

Then came the hands-on FUN! 🧪 Students created their very own Big Dipper constellations inside cups and used light to project their star patterns onto paper! 🔦✨ Talk about bringing the night sky right into the classroom!

A HUGE shoutout to Mr. T. for making science come alive through creative, engaging, hands-on experiments that spark curiosity and make learning memorable!

Our amazing PCSSD Security Officers are showing their support for PINK OUT this October, and we couldn't let the moment pass without giving these two a HUGE shoutout! 💕🎀

Officer Richardson and Officer Harper work tirelessly to keep both Harris Elementary and College Station Elementary safe, secure, and running smoothly each and every day! 💙

Whether it's offering a high five and a reassuring smile to a reluctant student in the morning, assisting with classroom needs, or simply stepping in wherever an extra hand is needed, these two ALWAYS go above and beyond!

They are so much more than security officers. They are encouragers, problem-solvers, positive role models, and an important part of our school families. Their dedication to our students and staff never goes unnoticed!

💗 They may be wearing PINK for October, but they're our HEROES in security uniforms all year long!💙

Hard work deserves a little extra celebration! 🎉🍽️

This week, Mrs. Evans has been treating some of our CSES Champions to a special Lunch Bunch to recognize their dedication, determination, and success in the classroom!

Today, we caught her celebrating with some of our amazing 3rd Grade Champions! 🌟 These students have been putting in the WORK, showing what it means to be a CHAMPION through their daily classroom tasks AND their performance on district CFAs! 📚✏️

We are SO proud of these students for their hard work and commitment to excellence! Keep pushing, keep growing, and keep showing the world what College Station Champions can do! 💙

Our teachers have been putting in the WORK, and the results are worth celebrating! 📈👏

We recognized our amazing teachers with balloons and special gifts based on the number of times their students BEAT THE DISTRICT SCORE on our recent Common Formative Assessments (CFAs)! 🎯🎉

Each balloon represents more than a score. It represents intentional instruction, high expectations, dedication, and a commitment to student success! 💙

Today, College Station Elementary was a sea of ORANGE as our Dragons came together to celebrate Unity Day! 🧡🐉

Students and staff were encouraged to wear orange to show that kindness matters, everyone belongs, and our differences make us stronger! 🧡

Unity Day reminds us that when we stand together, include others, and choose kindness, we create a school where EVERY Dragon can shine! 🌟
