🧙‍♀️📜 History Comes to Life!

Back in September, students in Ms. Brown’s AP United States History class stepped into the past by hosting their own witch trials! Students explored the history of the colonies through an interactive activity that challenged them to examine evidence, perspectives, and the events surrounding the colonial witch trials.

A creative way to bring history out of the textbook and into the classroom! We can’t wait to see what Ms. Brown does next! 📚⚖️

💻🔧 What’s Inside a Chromebook? We decided to find out!

We called in our IT expert, Mr. Joshua Harrington, and gave our students the opportunity to tear down a Chromebook and explore what’s inside!

From the motherboard to the tiny components, students got an up-close look at the technology they use every day and gained a whole new perspective on how it works.

Who knew taking something apart could be such a great learning experience?

🧊🧪 Biology in Action!

Biology students in Ms. Selma’s class explored the question: Why is there so much peat that has not decomposed in the permafrost? Students conducted a hands-on lab using active dry yeast to investigate how environmental conditions affect decomposition and connect their observations to the cold, low-oxygen conditions found in permafrost.

A great way to bring the carbon cycle and decomposition to life through hands-on science! 🌎🔬

🧪 Build an Atom! ⚛️

Physical Science students in Ms. Selma’s class put their learning into action with a hands-on activity to build models of atoms. Students used the periodic table to identify the number and arrangement of protons, neutrons, and electrons in their assigned atoms.

A great way to make atomic structure tangible and bring science to life! 🔬
