🦅💙💛 Student Discourse in Action at Watson Elementary!

Our second-grade Eagles in Mrs. Debro-Rhodes’ class are putting their thinking into words! During their Wit & Wisdom lesson on The Buffalo Are Back, students used talking chips to engage in meaningful partner discussions, share their ideas, and practice active listening.

This strategy ensures that every student has a voice while strengthening comprehension, academic vocabulary, and communication skills.

At Watson, we’re not just teaching students what to think—we’re teaching them how to think, communicate, and learn from one another!

That’s ! 🦅

🦅💙💛 Celebrating Our Fearless Leader!

Today, we paused to recognize our principal, Mr. Jackson, in honor of National Principals Month and Boss’s Day!

While he may not care for the title “boss,” we celebrate him for the servant leader he is—one who leads by example, serves with purpose, and works alongside his team.

Thank you, Mr. Jackson, for your unwavering dedication to the students, staff, and families of Watson Elementary! Your leadership continues to inspire us on our journey from good to great! 💙💛
