Preparedness doesn’t happen when the alarm sounds. It happens long before it.
For our firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics, training is a constant part of providing the service our community depends on. One call may require operating a pump and advancing a hoseline into a burning building. The next may require managing a cardiac arrest, treating a critically injured patient, or recognizing a life-threatening medical emergency where seconds matter.
That range of responsibility requires continuous training.
Every hour spent practicing fireground operations, EMS skills, apparatus operations, rescue techniques, and decision-making builds the knowledge, confidence, and teamwork our personnel need when the call comes in.
For Littleton, that preparation means having personnel who are ready to respond to an incredibly wide range of emergencies safely, efficiently, and professionally.
We may never know which training evolution, EMS scenario, or lesson learned will make the difference on the next call. That’s exactly why we train for all of them.
