At the October 8 Board of Education meeting, we were proud to recognize five outstanding students from Hopkins Elementary School who exemplify the skills and qualities of the Portrait of an LPS Graduate! 💙🧡

👏 Congratulations to Aria C., Lucas G., Elsie T., Wyatt W., and Cade B.! Through their kindness, resiliency, leadership, collaboration, and determination, these students are making a positive impact on their school community and showing us what it means to Grow with LPS!

🎉 It’s Classified Employees’ Week in LPS! 🎉

Approximately 830 classified employees serve LPS students, families, schools, and our community every day. Their work is essential to everything we do.

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible people who keep our offices running, support students in our health clinics and classrooms, drive our buses, prepare and serve meals, staff our childcare programs, maintain our buildings and grounds, keep our learning spaces clean and comfortable, help keep our schools and facilities safe, clear snow before students and staff arrive, and provide essential support behind the scenes. 💙

To our office staff, health clinic staff, classroom support staff, bus drivers and transportation staff, nutrition services staff, childcare staff, buildings and grounds and maintenance teams, custodial staff, safety and security staff, and all of the classified professionals whose work supports LPS: thank you!

Your professionalism, hard work, and commitment help create safe, welcoming environments where every student can learn and thrive. We are grateful for the countless ways you serve our students, families, staff, and community each and every day.
