Chestnut Hill Quadrant PTO Donlin Drive Elementary, Chestnut Hill Elementary, Chestnut Hill Middle PTO meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of each month.

All members in attendance at each meeting will be able to discuss decisions involving PTO events, fundraising programs and areas of PTO financial support. All parents and guardians are invited to attend! Each year the PTO funds field trips and bus expenses, classroom magazines, author visits, school folders and planners, plays, additional classroom supplies and more. We also provide much needed extras for the school to enhance our children's overall school experience. The PTO runs fundraisers, holds family fun events like the Back-To-School Family Picnic, The Halloween Family Night, Movie Nights, Dining for Dollars (Denny's, Tully"s, etc) . It also supports programs like PAC, the yearbook, and the 5th grade graduation.

Please consider bringing your carved pumpkins to showcase along the trail so we have plenty to show off! All pumpkins get taken back home at the end of the night!

Vote on your favorite pumpkin per grade, winners will be given a gift certificate to use for the book fair!

PTO's new fall event for the SouthQuad community!

Carve a pumpkin at home, drop it off the day before, and join us Thursday, October 29, at 6:00 PM to walk a path of glowing jack-o'-lanterns along the Chestnut Hill Complex trail. All are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes too.

The PTO provides flameless tealights for each registered pumpkin, plus candy, c***r, and donuts. Vote for the best pumpkin and shop the CHE book fair as a family as well!

The Book Fair is starting this week beginning Friday and going through till next Thursday, ending with our Pumpkin Walk Through Event!

Please consider signing up to volunteer for any of the times that students will be coming down to shop during the week! We still need LOTS of volunteers!!!

This week is Digital Citizenship Week

This annual event is dedicated to helping students, families, and educators navigate the digital world safely, ethically, and responsibly.

As technology evolves, the focus of the event has expanded beyond foundational themes like cyberbullying, online safety, and digital footprint management.

This year a primary emphasis is placed on AI literacy-teaching independent, critical thinking to help students evaluate AI-generated content, understand it's potential biases, and balance its benefits and drawbacks.

It's National School Bus Safety Week!

This public education campaign brings together school districts, transportation personnel, law enforcement, parents and motorists.

The main objectives include:

*Reinforcing safe loading and unloading procedures
*Highlighting the "danger zones" surrounding a school bus
*Combating illegal school bus passings, which occur an estimated 39 million times annually nationwide
*Honoring the dedicated professionals who transport students safely each day
